Housing Sector
Housing is regarded as one of the basic needs for the Iraqi citizen at the present time due to the high population density in this governorate. Thi-Qar governorate suffers from an acute shortage of the residential units which is about 176,281 residential units for all governorate. In order to meet the shortage in housing and provide suitable homes for all governorate citizens, the Investment Commission has provided a group of investment opportunities to build the residential units in both their vertical and horizontal types distributed on all administrative units in the governorate.
